Nepal Communist Party coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that elections are the best and safest option to steer the country out of the current crisis, warning that considering other alternatives could push the nation toward another disaster.
Speaking at a program held in Kathmandu on Monday, Dahal said elections are indispensable for moving the country toward political stability, lasting governance, and a new phase of development.
He stated that despite various ups and downs, all political parties have reached the conclusion that resolving the existing problems through elections is the right path, describing this consensus as a positive sign.
Highlighting that the country is passing through a critical phase, Dahal said Nepal can only be freed from fear, uncertainty, and the threat of chaos through collective efforts. He stressed that participating in the election process and playing a responsible role is a shared duty of all political forces.
Addressing the program, Dahal also said the growing interest of the younger generation in politics in recent times should be taken positively. He emphasized that the country must find its way forward through peaceful and democratic means.
