A total of 137,124 voters will be eligible to vote in the upcoming federal election scheduled for Falgun 21 in Lamjung. The District Election Office, Lamjung, stated that this is the total number of registered voters in the district.
According to District Election Officer Yadav Raj Acharya, the voter list includes 67,600 male voters and 69,524 female voters. Compared to the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly elections held in 2079 BS, the number of voters has increased by 3,407 this time. In the 2079 elections, Lamjung had 133,717 registered voters.
There will be 186 polling booths across 130 polling stations in Lamjung. During the previous election, there were 128 polling stations. Officer Acharya informed that two new polling stations have been added this time. The newly added polling stations are Alainche Kedar Basic School in Archalbot, Dordi Rural Municipality–2, and Kalika Basic School in Pasachaur, Besishahar Municipality–10. Although the Polling Station Recommendation Committee had also proposed adding a polling station at Binayak Basic School in Thakan, Marsyangdi Rural Municipality–3, it was not approved.
An integrated security plan has been prepared targeting the election. Four polling stations in Lamjung are still located in areas inaccessible by vehicles. Due to geographical difficulties, unpaved roads, and inadequate infrastructure, vehicles cannot reach these locations.
The polling stations that remain beyond vehicle access are at the Community Building Thulibari in Dudhpokhari Rural Municipality–1, Bishwo Jyoti Basic School Majuwabesi in Mid-Nepal Municipality–8, Ratna Vidya Mandir Uplo Chipla in Marsyangdi Rural Municipality–5, and Gangamilan Secondary School Ghermu Phant in the same rural municipality.
