Following the unity of Rastriya Swatantra Party (Raswapa) with Kathmandu Mayor Balen Shah and Energy Minister Kulman Ghising, an agreement has been reached on how many officials will be included from each group.
According to Raswapa sources, the Balen Shah group will appoint one General Secretary and one Joint General Secretary, while the Kulman Ghising group will have one Joint General Secretary and one Joint Spokesperson.
“The agreement is to include two members each from Balen and Kulman’s groups in party leadership. The names of the appointees are yet to be finalized,” the sources added.
Party Chair Ravi Lamichhane had signed separate agreements to bring Balen Shah and Kulman Ghising into Raswapa. Under the arrangement, Balen Shah is set to be the prime ministerial candidate in the upcoming House of Representatives election, while Kulman Ghising, also a patron of Ujyalo Nepal Party, has been made first-priority Deputy Chairperson after Ravi Lamichhane.
Following Kulman in the party hierarchy are Deputy Chairs D.P. Aryal and Swarnim Wagle.
Currently, Raswapa has Kabindra Burlakoti as General Secretary and Bipin Acharya as Joint General Secretary. The Joint Spokespersons are Pratibha Rawal and Ramesh Prasain.
