The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is set to gain representation in the Sudurpashchim Provincial Assembly with two provincial assembly members. The party will be represented after Laxman Kishor Chaudhary, a provincial assembly member from the Nagarik Unmukti Party, and independent provincial assembly member Dr. Tara Prasad Joshi joined the RSP.
In the 2079 elections, the RSP had failed to win a single seat in the Sudurpashchim Provincial Assembly. With these developments, the party will now have representation in the assembly without having won a seat directly in the election.
Independent provincial assembly member Joshi had earlier merged into the RSP through the Ujyalo Party led by Kulman. Meanwhile, Nagarik Unmukti Party’s provincial assembly member Chaudhary formally joined the RSP in Kathmandu today.
