Polling stations and polling centers have been finalized for the election of a House of Representatives member scheduled to be held on February 21. The District Election Office completed the process after consultations with the District Security Committee, local voters, and intellectuals to make voting convenient and accessible.
According to District Election Officer Rajan Rai, a total of 41,471 voters, including 21,141 women, will exercise their voting rights. For this purpose, 36 polling stations and 57 polling centers have been designated across the district.
Among the five rural municipalities, Uttargaya will have 11 polling centers, Kalika 12, Naukunda 15, and Gosaikunda 10. In the previous election, 52 polling centers were set up for 40,500 voters. The number of polling centers has been increased this time due to the addition of new voters in the updated voter list.
Out of the total polling centers, 14 have been classified as normal, 38 as sensitive, and five as highly sensitive, the District Election Office said.
