The Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) America has clarified that rumors claiming Nepal’s Minister for Youth and Sports, Bablu Gupta, was invited to the United States are completely baseless. The organization stated that its serious attention has been drawn to the misuse of its name and digital platforms in what it described as attempts to commit serious crimes such as human trafficking in the United States.
In a statement issued on Friday, NRNA America made it clear that no youth-focused program has been organized for Minister Gupta or for any other individual. The association claimed that certain groups have been using its name, website, and “digital identity” without official information or approval to carry out unauthorized activities.
The statement said, “We have received reliable information that illegal activities, including human trafficking, are being carried out by creating unauthorized programs in the name of NRNA America. We are alert to such activities that damage the credibility of an organization legally registered in the United States.”
NRNA America warned that any suspicious activities carried out by linking the organization’s name could lead to serious legal and financial risks. The association has urged the general public to remain vigilant against such misleading information and groups, and to trust only the information disseminated through its official channels.
