Gold prices in the Nepali market increased again on Tuesday, reaching NPR 276,500 per tola. The Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association said this is the highest price recorded so far.
According to the federation, the price of hallmark gold, which was NPR 274,700 per tola on Monday, rose to NPR 276,500 on Tuesday. The price of hallmark gold has now been fixed at NPR 237,055 per 10 grams.
Similarly, the price of silver increased to NPR 5,340 per tola on Tuesday, up from NPR 5,195 per tola on Monday.
Traders said that fluctuations in the US dollar and global economic uncertainty have driven up gold and silver prices in the domestic market.
According to international media reports, gold is trading at USD 4,588 per ounce in the international market today, while silver of the same quantity is being traded at USD 84 per ounce.
