Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the foreign exchange rates for Wednesday. According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been fixed at NPR 144.01, while the selling rate stands at NPR 144.61.
Similarly, the buying rate of one European euro is NPR 168.03 and the selling rate NPR 168.73. The UK pound sterling has been set at NPR 194.00 for buying and NPR 194.81 for selling. The Swiss franc is being traded at a buying rate of NPR 180.38 and a selling rate of NPR 181.14. The Australian dollar has a buying rate of NPR 96.47 and a selling rate of NPR 96.87.
NRB has fixed the buying rate of one Canadian dollar at NPR 103.73 and the selling rate at NPR 104.17. The Singapore dollar is being exchanged at NPR 111.87 for buying and NPR 112.34 for selling. The Japanese yen (per 10 units) has a buying rate of NPR 9.06 and a selling rate of NPR 9.10. The Chinese yuan is valued at NPR 20.64 for buying and NPR 20.73 for selling. Likewise, the Saudi Arabian riyal has been set at NPR 38.40 for buying and NPR 38.56 for selling, while the Qatari riyal stands at NPR 39.40 for buying and NPR 39.56 for selling.
The Thai baht has a buying rate of NPR 4.58 and a selling rate of NPR 4.60. The UAE dirham is being traded at NPR 39.21 for buying and NPR 39.37 for selling. The Malaysian ringgit has been fixed at NPR 35.49 for buying and NPR 35.64 for selling.
According to the central bank, the buying rate of the South Korean won (per 100 units) is NPR 9.77 and the selling rate is NPR 9.81. The Swedish krona is set at NPR 15.69 for buying and NPR 15.76 for selling, while the Danish krone has a buying rate of NPR 22.49 and a selling rate of NPR 22.58.
NRB has also fixed the buying rate of the Hong Kong dollar at NPR 18.46 and the selling rate at NPR 18.53. The Kuwaiti dinar is being traded at NPR 470.93 for buying and NPR 472.89 for selling. The Bahraini dinar has been set at NPR 382.00 for buying and NPR 383.60 for selling, while the Omani riyal stands at NPR 374.05 for buying and NPR 375.61 for selling.
Similarly, the exchange rate for Indian currency has been fixed at NPR 160.00 for buying and NPR 160.15 for selling per INR 100.
NRB has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as necessary. The exchange rates determined by commercial banks may differ, and the updated rates are available on the central bank’s official website.
