The Netra Bikram Chand “Biplav”-led CPN (Maoist) and a group led by Gen Z activist Miraj Dhungana have reached a four-point agreement. The agreement was signed on Thursday at Maitighar between CPN (Maoist) General Secretary Biplav and activist Dhungana.
The agreement includes commitments to struggle for the formation of an interim government, pursue progressive restructuring of the state, initiate efforts for all-party consensus, establish a special judicial body to fight corruption, and continue struggles to fulfill the demands of the Gen Z movement.
The group led by Dhungana has been staging a sit-in protest at Maitighar Mandala in recent days.
The four agreed points include struggling for all-party consensus and the formation of an interim government, amending the constitution in line with public aspirations and movements to ensure a stable government, continuing the struggle to fulfill the demands of the Gen Z uprising, and fighting for progressive state restructuring along with the formation of a special judicial body to combat corruption.
