Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has revised the prices of petroleum products, reducing the rates of petrol, diesel, and kerosene. The new price list came into effect from midnight last night, according to the corporation.
As per the revision, the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs 3 per liter, while diesel and kerosene prices have been lowered by Rs 1 per liter each. After the adjustment, petrol is priced at Rs 156 per liter, and diesel and kerosene at Rs 136 per liter.
The price revision was made based on the new purchase rates received from Indian Oil Corporation on Magh 1, as stated by the NOC Board of Directors. The corporation regularly adjusts fuel prices in line with international purchase rates.
Under the new rates, petrol will cost Rs 153.50 per liter in first-category areas including Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalubari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and Birgunj. In second-category areas such as Surkhet and Dang, the price of petrol has been set at Rs 155 per liter. In third-category areas including Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal, petrol will be sold at Rs 156 per liter.
