The Lumbini Province Government has declared a public holiday across the province today. The holiday has been announced on the occasion of Maghe Sankranti and the Magh festival celebrated by the Tharu community.
According to a public notice published in the Provincial Gazette on Chaitra 21, 2081 BS, the decision to grant a public holiday throughout Lumbini Province was made in view of Maghe Sankranti and the Magh festival. Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law, Lok Bahadur Sunar, confirmed that Friday has been observed as a public holiday in line with the government’s decision.
