The Nepali Congress parliamentary board is scheduled to meet to finalize the party’s candidates for the House of Representatives election on February 21.
Party co-secretary Dr. Dila Sangroula Pant informed that the meeting will be held shortly to decide on the candidates. “No candidate has been finalized anywhere yet. The parliamentary board will convene shortly to finalize them,” she said.
She added that the delay is due to efforts to accommodate all sides before distributing tickets. “We are trying to finalize tickets by balancing all groups,” Dr. Sangroula said, noting that efforts are being made to include the outgoing party president and Dr. Shekhar Koirala’s faction in the ticket distribution process.
