CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has said that describing Jhapa-5 as an “epicenter” is a baseless claim. He made the remarks while visiting his home district Jhapa for the first time after the Gen Z movement.
Speaking to journalists at Bhadrapur Airport in Jhapa on Monday, Oli said the government has still failed to make adequate arrangements for peace and security ahead of the elections. He claimed that ongoing criminal activities in society clearly indicate weak security management.
Oli expressed doubts over whether the elections would be peaceful, fair, and free from fear. “Security arrangements are still not satisfactory. Various criminal incidents are still taking place. Even the Election Commission is facing questions. This is the situation,” he said.
