Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa has changed his electoral constituency for the upcoming House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21. Thapa will contest the election from Sarlahi Constituency No. 4.
The party’s 13-member candidate selection parliamentary board finalized Thapa’s candidacy on Tuesday morning, party spokesperson Devaraj Chalise said. According to him, the process of finalizing candidates in the Kathmandu Valley and several other districts is still ongoing.
Thapa had previously been contesting elections from Kathmandu Constituency No. 4. He had been continuously elected from that constituency since 2013.
Spokesperson Chalise also stated that candidates in 65 districts have been finalized so far.
