At today’s meeting of the National Assembly, Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal tabled three ordinances. The ordinances presented were the Ordinance to Amend the Voters’ List Act, 2073 (2026), the House of Representatives Member Election (First Amendment) Ordinance, 2026, and the Nepal Special Service Act (Second Amendment) Ordinance, 2026.
During the meeting, Chairperson of the Development, Economic Affairs and Good Governance Committee Kamala Pant also presented the National Integrity Policy Study Report, 2026 to the Assembly. Likewise, Chairperson of the Legislative Management Committee Tulasakumari Dahal tabled the committee’s report on the Tourism Bill, 2025.
Chairperson Narayan Prasad Dahal read out letters received from the Office of the President regarding the formation of the Council of Ministers and the assignment of portfolios.
The meeting also passed condolence motions on the demise of former ministers Rishikesh Gautam, Mohammad Aftab Alam, Amod Prasad Upadhyay, Homanath Dahal, and former lawmaker Krishnakumari Shrestha. The next meeting of the National Assembly has been scheduled for Tuesday, Magh 13, at 1:15 PM.
