Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel has likened the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) to a seasonal flash flood.
Speaking at a press meet organized by the Federation of Nepali Journalists, Palpa chapter, in Tansen on Sunday, Poudel remarked that the RSP’s politics resembles a monsoon flood that soon dries up. “Before one monsoon ends, the flash flood disappears and ants start crawling again. Likewise, the RSP will gradually fade away. Politics built only on opposition cannot last long,” he said.
Targeting royalist forces, Poudel further stated that regressive elements have already been sidelined and have no future in Nepal. “Those carrying regressive agendas will never rise again. They are only wasting their time,” he added.
