CPN-UML Chairperson and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has alleged that the government is deliberately harassing him and subjecting him to humiliating treatment.
Speaking at a program held at the party headquarters in Chyasal on Saturday, Oli said he was treated in a disrespectful manner at the airport while returning to Kathmandu from his home district Jhapa on Friday. He claimed that airport officials behaved as if they were acting under “orders from above,” treating him in a way similar to a gold smuggler.
Oli said the incident made him feel as though he was not in a civilized society, expressing strong dissatisfaction over the conduct shown toward him at the airport.
Stating that the country needs to be put back on the right path, Oli asserted that there is no alternative to the CPN-UML forming the government to ensure proper direction and stability for the nation.
