Nepal is currently under the partial influence of a western disturbance. According to the Weather Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, this afternoon the high hilly and mountainous regions of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces will generally remain cloudy, while the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy conditions.
There is a possibility of light snowfall and rainfall at some places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, and at one or two locations in the high hilly and mountainous regions of Gandaki Province. Additionally, a few places in the remaining areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces may witness light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning.
Tonight, the high hilly and mountainous regions of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, along with other mountainous areas, are expected to remain generally cloudy, while the rest of the country will see partly cloudy skies. Moderate snowfall and rainfall are likely at some places in the high hilly and mountainous regions of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces. Light snowfall and rainfall are also possible at one or two locations in the high hilly and mountainous regions of the remaining provinces.
Furthermore, moderate rainfall is likely at some places in the hilly regions of Karnali, Sudurpaschim, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, while light rainfall may occur at a few places in the Terai region. There is also a possibility of thunderstorms and lightning in some hilly and Terai areas of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.
