Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign exchange rates for today (Tuesday). While the exchange rates of the US dollar and Bahraini dinar have remained unchanged, the value of most other foreign currencies—including the Australian dollar, euro, pound sterling, and Kuwaiti dinar—has increased.
Today, the buying rate of one US dollar stands at NPR 146.81 and the selling rate at NPR 147.41. This is the highest exchange rate the US dollar has reached so far. The US dollar has remained at this same rate for the past three days.
Similarly, the buying rate of one euro today is NPR 174.01 and the selling rate is NPR 174.72. On the previous day, the euro was traded at a buying rate of NPR 173.65 and a selling rate of NPR 174.36.
The British pound sterling is being traded today at a buying rate of NPR 200.65 and a selling rate of NPR 201.47. Yesterday, its buying rate was NPR 200.32 and the selling rate was NPR 201.14.
The Australian dollar today has a buying rate of NPR 101.54 and a selling rate of NPR 101.96. On the previous day, it was traded at NPR 101.24 for buying and NPR 101.65 for selling.
Likewise, the Kuwaiti dinar is being traded today at a buying rate of NPR 481.27 and a selling rate of NPR 483.23. Yesterday, its buying and selling rates were NPR 480.95 and NPR 482.92 respectively.
The Bahraini dinar remains stable, with a buying rate of NPR 389.39 and a selling rate of NPR 390.98, unchanged from yesterday and the day before.
Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as necessary. The exchange rates determined by commercial banks may differ, and the updated rates are available on the central bank’s official website.
