The Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has expelled its central committee member Krishna KC from the party, citing activities against party decisions.
In a letter issued by party coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and co-coordinator Madhav Nepal, KC was dismissed from the party with immediate effect, including termination of her general membership.
According to the letter, Krishna KC ‘Namuna’ of Banke district filed her candidacy for the upcoming House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21, 2082, using the election symbol of another political party. The party stated that this act violated Article 106 of the party statute, warranting disciplinary action and expulsion.
In recent times, KC had been active in the Progressive Democratic Party, and she has reportedly registered her candidacy for the Falgun 21 election from the same party.
