The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported that the country is currently under the partial influence of westerly winds. Fog has occurred in some areas of Koshi and Madhesh provinces, while partial cloud cover is seen over the hilly and mountainous regions of the country, including Koshi Province.
According to the Department, there is a possibility of light rain and snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces this afternoon. Fog is also expected to prevail in the Tarai region. Partial cloud cover will remain in the high hilly and Himalayan areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, while the rest of the country will generally experience fair weather. There is also a chance of light rain and snowfall at one or two locations in the high hilly and Himalayan regions of these provinces.
Similarly, fog is likely to occur in some parts of the Tarai tonight. Partial cloud cover is expected in the high hilly and Himalayan areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, while the remaining areas will mostly have clear weather.
The Department has urged concerned authorities and the general public to remain alert, as rainfall and snowfall may affect daily life, tourism, health services, as well as air and road transportation.
