According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Nepal is currently under the partial influence of a western low-pressure system. Due to this system, the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Gandaki Province are generally experiencing cloudy conditions.
The department said that fog and mist will prevail in many places across the Tarai region this afternoon. Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces are expected to have partly cloudy weather, while the rest of the country will remain mostly clear. There is also a possibility of light snowfall or rainfall at one or two places in the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.
Similarly, fog and mist are likely to persist in many areas of the Tarai region tonight. The high hilly and Himalayan regions of Gandaki Province will remain generally cloudy, while other areas will see partly cloudy conditions.
The department has again indicated the possibility of light snowfall or rainfall at one or two locations in the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Gandaki Province.
