The Nepali national cricket team is playing its second practice match against Mumbai-11 today. The match is being held at the Brabourne Cricket Stadium in Mumbai. Earlier, Nepal won the first practice match held on Thursday by seven wickets.
Following this, Nepal will play World Cup warm-up matches against the UAE and Canada. Nepal is scheduled to face the UAE on February 3 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, with the match starting at 5:15 pm. The next warm-up match against Canada will be played on February 5 at the same venue, starting at 1:15 pm.
Nepal is participating in the World Cup for the third time with a 15-member squad under the captaincy of Rohit Paudel. The Nepali team includes Rohit Paudel (captain), Dipendra Singh Airee (vice-captain), Sandeep Lamichhane, Kushal Bhurtel, Asif Sheikh, Sandeep Jora, Gulshan Jha, Sompal Kami, Nandan Yadav, Lalit Rajbanshi, Lokesh Bam, Aarif Sheikh, Karan KC, Sher Malla, and Basir Ahmed.
The ICC World Cup will be held from February 7 to March 8 in India and Sri Lanka. Nepal has been placed in a group with Scotland, England, Italy, and the West Indies. Nepal will play its first match against England on February 8, followed by matches against Italy on February 12, West Indies on February 15, and Scotland on February 17. All of Nepal’s matches are scheduled to be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
