The Bhimfedi–Kulekhani–Sisneri–Dakshinkali road section remains blocked following a landslide in Indrasarovar Rural Municipality-3, Jyamire, Makwanpur, which occurred on Saturday morning.
Despite attempts to clear the road using three bulldozers on Sunday, heavy rain in the evening triggered another landslide, making it difficult to reopen the route.
According to Devanarayan Yadav, Chief of the Infrastructure Special Project, efforts to clear the road throughout Sunday were halted after 6 PM due to continuous landslides caused by the rain.
The road, constructed under the Provincial Road Master Plan by the provincial government and named “Capital Route,” still has some sections toward Kathmandu that remain to be paved.
