The Election Commission has released sample ballots for various districts and constituencies for the House of Representatives election scheduled to be held on Falgun 21. The Commission has made public sample ballots covering constituencies across all seven provinces.
Separate ballot samples have been prepared for districts with only one constituency and for those with more than one constituency. These sample ballots will be used for voter education purposes. According to Election Commission spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, the samples have also been designed based on the number of candidates contesting in each constituency.
Constituencies with a higher number of candidates have comparatively larger-sized ballots, while those with fewer candidates have smaller ballots. In Karnali Province, Salyan, Dolpa, Mugu, Jumla, Kalikot, Humla, Jajarkot, and Rukum West each have one constituency, while Dailekh and Surkhet have two constituencies each. Sample ballots for all these districts have been released.
Similarly, in Sudurpashchim Province, Bajura, Bajhang, Doti, Darchula, Baitadi, and Dadeldhura each have one constituency. Achham has two constituencies, Kanchanpur has three, and Kailali has five constituencies. Sample ballots for all these constituencies have also been made public.
The Election Commission has informed that the printing of ballots for the proportional representation electoral system has already been completed.
