Nepal, preparing for the T20 World Cup, defeated Mumbai Cricket Academy Presidents XI by 48 runs in their second practice match.
Chasing a target of 184 runs, Mumbai were restricted to 135 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs. Sandeep Lamichhane bowled four overs conceding 24 runs and picked up three wickets. Lalit Rajbanshi and Gulshan Jha claimed two wickets each. Gulshan, who conceded 22 runs in his first over, made a strong comeback by giving away just five runs and taking two wickets in his final two overs.
For Mumbai, opener Mulchandani scored the highest runs for his team with 47 off 27 balls before being run out. Another opener, Saxena, contributed 23 runs.
Earlier at Brabourne Cricket Stadium, Nepal won the toss and elected to bat first, posting 183 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs, powered by an unbeaten half-century from Aarif Sheikh. Aarif scored 66 runs off 42 balls, while Gulshan Jha added 23 runs off just 12 balls.
Nepal made four changes from the previous match, with Aasif Sheikh and Lokesh Bam opening the innings. Lokesh was dismissed for 15 runs, while Aasif scored 25 runs off 17 balls. Sandeep Jora made 31 runs, and Bashir Ahmad added nine runs.
For Mumbai, Mangukiya and Chavan took two wickets each.
