A landslide caused by heavy rains has blocked the Tamghas–Ridi section of the Madan Bhandari Highway in Gulmi District.
According to the District Police Office, Gulmi, the landslide occurred this morning at Bhangari Khola in Resunga Municipality-13, resulting in a complete road blockage.
Gangabahadur Saru, Information Officer at the District Police Office, said that Nepal Police and Armed Police teams have been deployed to clear the road. Resunga Municipality has also sent equipment to remove the accumulated debris, according to Mayor Khildhwaj Panthi.
Following the blockage, vehicles traveling to and from the district headquarters Tamghas have been stopped on the road. Authorities stated that work to reopen the road is currently underway.
