The Nepali Congress has clearly stated that it will not form any alliance with other political parties before the upcoming elections. Speaking at a press conference organized by the party’s Central Publicity Committee, party spokesperson Devraj Chalise said that the Nepali Congress is contesting the election independently and has finalized its candidates in all 165 constituencies.
Chalise said the party is fully focused on the electoral process. He clarified that the Nepali Congress has no comment on rumors related to issues such as the reinstatement of Parliament, stating that such narratives are attempts to divert attention from the election. He reiterated that there will be no alliances of any kind during the election period and that the party will compete on its own strength.
Emphasizing that free, fair, fearless, and secure voting and campaigning are the fundamental rights of citizens and political parties, Chalise urged the government to ensure a conducive environment for the election. “We are fully committed to the electoral system and believe in elections. The party has mobilized all its strength for the polls. Any attempts to distract attention through meetings or court-related matters are not our concern. Before the election, there will be no alliance with any party. The Nepali Congress has candidates in all 165 constituencies, is actively campaigning, and is moving toward victory,” he said.
He also called on voters to cast their ballots by considering both past experience and the ability of parties and candidates to shape the country’s future.
