Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that information technology (IT) has become indispensable in daily life.
Addressing the International Information Technology Youth Conference 2025 organized by the National Youth Association Nepal virtually on Monday, PM Oli emphasized that IT is now a necessity for people’s daily routines and the functioning of modern society.
He said IT has reached a stage where life cannot function without it, highlighting its importance in making the country and society more organized, advancing civilization, strengthening good governance, curbing corruption, and delivering public services effectively.
“IT must be used as a tool to systematize the nation, enhance social order, develop a civilized and progressive society, ensure stronger governance, and provide better services to citizens,” he remarked.
PM Oli added that IT has become a fundamental requirement of the present era and will play a crucial role in accelerating Nepal’s development.
