The Ridi–Rudrabeni–Wamitaksar road section in Gulmi will be disrupted starting today. Vehicle movement will be restricted for a certain period due to the commencement of road upgrading works at the Sisne Bhir area of Satyawati Rural Municipality.
According to the Palpa Road Division Office, the Sisne Bhir section, which falls under the national highway and is considered highly sensitive and narrow, requires cutting work to widen the road. As a result, the road will remain partially obstructed from Magh 26 to Falgun 15. The Road Division Office has requested coordination from the District Administration Office, Gulmi, to facilitate the work.
During this period, vehicular movement will be completely closed daily from 6:00 am to 9:00 am, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, and 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The road will remain open for traffic from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, and from 7:00 pm to 6:00 am the next morning, according to the District Administration Office, Gulmi.
As alternative routes, vehicles can use the Sota–Tallophant–Rupakot–Dokuwa–Salaghari–Chorkate road during the morning and daytime. From evening to morning, the Majhuwa–Damka–Rupakot–Myalpokhari–Chorkate road has been suggested.
The District Administration Office, Gulmi, has also requested Musikot Municipality and Chandrakot Rural Municipality to provide necessary support, coordination, and facilitation. The administration has called on local governments, concerned authorities, and the general public to cooperate to ensure the successful completion of the road upgrading works.
