Kathmandu: A meeting of the National Assembly under the Federal Parliament is scheduled to be held today at 1:15 pm. The Parliamentary Secretariat has set several important agendas for the meeting. One of the key items includes oral questions related to the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, which will be answered by the concerned minister.
Similarly, Chairperson of the Legislation Management Committee, Tulsakumari Dahal, will present the committee’s report on the Social Media Bill, 2081 to the Assembly. The report is being viewed as significant amid growing public interest and debate over the regulation of social media.
During the meeting, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Anil Kumar Sinha will propose that discussions be held on the Tourism Bill, 2081, along with the report of the Legislation Management Committee. Following the discussion, he is also scheduled to present a proposal to pass the bill. The bill, aimed at making the tourism sector more organized and modern, is likely to be passed today.
In addition, at the beginning of the meeting, the Chairperson of the National Assembly will present a condolence motion on the demise of former member Shukra Raj Sanyok. After the condolence motion is passed, the Assembly will proceed with other formal agendas.
