Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairperson Ravi Lamichhane has said that the House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21 will be an election won by the country, not by political parties or individual leaders. Speaking at a public interaction program in Devdaha Khaireni of Rupandehi Constituency No. 1, Lamichhane stated that this election carries national significance.
“Political parties and leaders have won many times. In every election so far, parties have emerged victorious. But the election on Falgun 21 will be one that the nation wins,” he said.
Referring to the inclusion of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah’s team in the RSP, Lamichhane clarified that the party has focused on sharing responsibilities rather than distributing positions. “We have not distributed posts; we have divided responsibilities,” he said, adding that the country will see the same party chairperson, the same prime minister, and the same government for the next five years.
Lamichhane also said that his party believes in action rather than election manifestos, claiming that RSP will complete tasks that other parties failed to accomplish in the past.
According to the party, the Rupandehi district-level campaign that began in Devdaha will conclude in Lumbini in the evening, after which Lamichhane will enter Kapilvastu district. RSP Rupandehi Chairperson Dr. Buddhi Prasad Sharma said the campaign will cover all five constituencies of Rupandehi, with plans to address gatherings at 26 different locations along the route.
