The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index fell by 26.05 points on Tuesday, closing at 2,672.39 points. According to NEPSE, a total of 26,766,347 shares of 324 companies were traded through 102,281 transactions, generating a total turnover of NPR 10.77 billion.
During the trading session, only the trading group posted a gain, rising marginally by 0.24 percent, while all other sectoral sub-indices declined. Share prices of 212 companies decreased, whereas only 42 companies recorded gains.
Khanikhola Hydropower Company Limited emerged as the top gainer of the day, with its share price surging by 9.97 percent. In contrast, Mayakhola Hydropower Company Limited saw the biggest loss, with its share price dropping by 5.40 percent.
