A jeep traveling from Rukum East to Tulsipur met with an accident, leaving one person dead and three others injured.
The incident occurred this morning near Chorkhola in Kapurkot Rural Municipality–3 along the Rapti Highway. The jeep (registration number Ga 1 Ja 5661) crashed, resulting in the death of the driver on the spot.
According to the police post in Kapurkot, the deceased has been identified as 34-year-old jeep driver Bijay Bik from Sisne Rural Municipality–4, Rukum East.
Police said the three injured passengers have been rescued and sent to Rapti Provincial Hospital for treatment. The injured include one child and two women.
