The CPN-UML has suddenly called its lawmakers to Singha Durbar for an emergency meeting. According to one lawmaker, the party’s parliamentary office contacted MPs by phone, instructing them to attend the meeting without prior notice.
“The office staff called and said there would be an emergency meeting and asked us to come, but the agenda was not disclosed,” a lawmaker stated. Some lawmakers speculated that the meeting might be related to discussions on pending and disputed bills in Parliament.
