A landslide triggered by heavy rainfall this morning has blocked the Khalanga–Gokuleshwar section of the Mahakali Highway in Darchula.
The landslide occurred at Ranebas in Malikarjun Rural Municipality-3, halting all traffic along the route, according to Inspector Chhatra Bahadur Rawat of the District Police Office, Darchula.
Chief District Officer Anil Paudel said equipment has been brought in from Khalanga to clear the debris and reopen the road.
