The ward chairperson of Rajgadh Rural Municipality-5 in Saptari, Devendra Sah, also known as Dukhilal, passed away on Tuesday night while undergoing treatment.
According to Rural Municipality Chair Om Prakash Mandal, the 70-year-old leader died at Bharatpur Cancer Hospital in Chitwan, where he had been receiving treatment. Sah had been battling cancer for a long time.
He was elected ward chair in the 2022 (2079 BS) local elections from the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal, securing 497 votes.
