Leaders, officials, and workers of the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal from districts and Madhesh Province staged a protest against the government in Janakpurdham on Tuesday. They blocked the road at Janak Chowk, raising slogans such as “Down with the Oli government,” “Repeal the false case,” and “Punish Prabhu Sah, the main planner of the Gaur massacre.”
Ram Ashish Yadav, Chief Whip of the JSP Nepal Madhesh Province Parliamentary Party and a Madhesh Provincial Assembly member, alleged that after the party did not support the government-backed anti-people Land Ordinance in Parliament, the government conspired to falsely implicate party president Upendra Yadav in the Gaur massacre case.
Yadav further accused the Oli government of targeting Upendra Yadav for fighting for the rights of marginalized communities. He warned that if the case against Upendra Yadav is not withdrawn, the party will launch an even stronger movement from tomorrow.
