
Vehicular movement has resumed on a one-way basis in Halede, Ward No. 7 of Likhu Tamakoshi Rural Municipality, Ramechhap, following road repairs after a landslide.
Chief District Officer Shyam Krishna Thapa confirmed that traffic, which had been halted since this morning due to the landslide, has now been restored. Vehicles traveling from Kathmandu to Dolakha’s Charikot via Tamakoshi and onward to Manthali had been stranded midway but have since moved toward their destinations after the road was cleared for one-way traffic.
The Charikot–Manthali section of the Pushpalal Highway had been obstructed after debris from above and erosion by the Tamakoshi River below caused damage. Authorities noted that this stretch frequently suffers road collapses due to repeated landslides from above and river cutting from below.
