The first semi-final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will be played today between New Zealand national cricket team and South Africa national cricket team. Both teams are set to enter the field with high confidence, aiming to secure a place in the final.
The match will take place at the historic Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:15 PM Nepali time.
Eden Gardens has previously hosted numerous high-profile international matches, raising expectations for an exciting contest today.
This will be the second meeting between the two sides in the ongoing tournament. Both teams advanced to the semi-finals on the back of impressive performances in the earlier stages. With balanced strength in both batting and bowling departments, a closely fought encounter is anticipated.
New Zealand have consistently delivered strong performances in international competitions in recent years, while South Africa are equally determined this time to clinch the title.
The second semi-final will be played on Thursday between India national cricket team and England national cricket team. The final is scheduled for Sunday. Both India and England are two-time World Cup champions.
Nepal, however, exited the tournament in the group stage. The Nepal national cricket team ended a 12-year losing streak by defeating Scotland national cricket team and delivered an impressive performance against England national cricket team, narrowly losing by just four runs. However, Nepal struggled in matches against Italy national cricket team and West Indies cricket team.
