Manoj Chaudhary, a candidate from Parsa Constituency No. 2 representing the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN), has been arrested.
He was taken into custody along with four others after suspicious items were discovered during a routine security check in the Badnihar area. The group was traveling in a vehicle at the time of the inspection.
DSP Hari Bahadur Basnet, spokesperson for the District Police Office Parsa, confirmed that Chaudhary and four others have been detained.
Police stated that further investigation is underway and detailed information will be shared through a press conference.
