The Ministry of Home Affairs has stated that all preparations have been completed for the House of Representatives election scheduled for Thursday. The confirmation came during a virtual meeting held this morning with Chief District Officers (CDOs) from all 77 districts, where election security and overall management arrangements were reviewed.
The virtual meeting, chaired by Home Secretary Rajkumar Shrestha and attended by senior ministry officials along with CDOs from all districts, assessed the status of election preparations and security management nationwide.
According to Joint Spokesperson Rama Acharya, discussions focused on election preparedness and security arrangements. She said that CDOs from all districts reported that preparations have been fully completed and that the overall security situation remains normal.
The meeting also discussed district-level preparedness, the current situation, and areas requiring coordination from the central government. A review was conducted on law and order conditions, necessary precautions for election day, and security sensitivities, with an understanding reached to formulate further strategies if needed.
Home Secretary Shrestha instructed Chief District Officers to ensure strong and effective election security. During the meeting, CDOs informed that all security personnel and election materials have already reached the designated polling stations.
