CPN-UML’s Head of the Publicity Department, Min Bahadur Shahi, has said that there is no alternative but to accept the election results and move forward.
Reacting to the preliminary results of the House of Representatives election held on Thursday, where the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) appears to be heading toward a majority, Shahi said that the public’s verdict must be respected.
“Whatever decision emerges from the people’s mandate must be accepted,” he said. “The results coming in now are only preliminary, so it would be a bit premature to make all conclusions based on them. However, whatever verdict the people deliver will be acceptable.”
He added that after accepting the current verdict, the party will focus on strengthening its organization in the coming days, further establishing political values and principles, and concentrating on pro-people work.
