Four people were killed and one person was injured in an auto-rickshaw accident in Kalika Municipality–9 of Chitwan.
According to police, the accident occurred when an auto-rickshaw (Ba. Pra 06-001 Ha 0315) traveling from Uperdangadi toward Shaktikhor went out of control and fell into a roadside drain.
The deceased have been identified as the driver, 39-year-old Purna Bahadur Bik of Rapti Municipality–9, 56-year-old Bishnu Kumari Tamang of Rapti-8, 22-year-old Bini Tamang of Rapti-9, and 55-year-old Tilak Tamang of the same area. They died during treatment, police said.
Meanwhile, 53-year-old Chini Kumari Gurung of Rapti-9 was injured in the crash. She is currently receiving treatment at College of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital in Bharatpur.
