Arjun Kumar Karki of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist) has been elected as a Member of the House of Representatives from Sankhuwasabha.
In the district, which has a single constituency for the House of Representatives, Karki secured 15,663 votes to win the election. His closest rival, Mingma Sherpa of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, received 15,000 votes, according to the Office of the Election Officer.
There were 119,630 registered voters in the district this time, of which 63,634 votes were cast.
A total of 16 candidates, including one independent candidate, contested in the election held on Thursday.
