Since the outbreak of hostilities with Iran, approximately 140 American soldiers have been injured, according to the U.S. Department of Defense.
Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell stated that the injuries occurred during various attacks and military operations since the conflict began on February 28.
In his statement, Parnell noted that most soldiers sustained minor injuries, with 108 already treated and returned to duty. Eight soldiers, however, were seriously injured and are under special medical supervision. Additionally, seven U.S. service members have lost their lives so far.
The conflict escalated after United States and Israel launched attacks on Iran on February 28, leading to ongoing military operations and counterattacks across the region. This has further complicated the regional security situation in the Middle East.
