A total of 149,090 temporary election police personnel deployed during the House of Representatives election held on Falgun 21 will be officially bid farewell today.
According to Nepal Police, the personnel will be honored with certificates of appreciation and a vote of thanks for their contribution to maintaining election security. They will also pledge to support the country whenever needed in the future.
These temporary election police were recruited for 40 working days, and their service period ends today.
This year, 133,980 personnel were deployed under Nepal Police, while 15,110 were mobilized under the Armed Police Force Nepal, bringing the total number of election security personnel to 149,090.
A farewell program has also been arranged today for the personnel who served under the Armed Police Force.
