The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index increased by 23.87 points on Thursday, the last trading day of the week, to close at 2820.44 points.
During the day, shares of 335 companies were traded. A total of 41,686,405 shares were bought and sold in 145,519 transactions, with a turnover of NPR 14.55 billion.
Except for the Hotels, Non-Life Insurance, and Others sectors, share prices in all other sectors increased.
The shares of Salapa Bikas Bank and Reliance Spinning Mills hit the positive circuit limit. Similarly, the share price of National Hydro Power Company increased by 9.97 percent, while Hotel Forest Inn rose by 9.93 percent.
Meanwhile, the shares of Kumari Sabal Yojana declined the most, falling by 3.82 percent.
In terms of trading volume, National Hydro Power Company recorded the highest turnover of NPR 677.9 million, followed by Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company with transactions worth NPR 568.3 million.
