A total of 15,110 temporary election police personnel recruited by the Armed Police Force Nepal have been officially bid farewell on Thursday.
According to Deputy Spokesperson (DSP) Shailendra Thapa, the personnel had been mobilized to provide security during the House of Representatives election held on Falgun 21.
They were deployed across various constituencies during the election period, working alongside regular members of the Armed Police Force Nepal to maintain security.
Following the election, the Armed Police Force has also conducted a two-day disaster-related training program for the election police. DSP Thapa said the training was organized as part of the force’s initiative to prepare disaster response indicators, and the election police have been included in the list after receiving the training.
