Nepal Electricity Authority has announced scheduled power cuts in several areas of Kathmandu on Saturday.
According to a public notice issued by the authority, electricity supply will be disrupted in areas under the Gothatar and Battisputali feeders to carry out maintenance work on the 11 kV distribution lines. The work will be conducted in areas including Pepsicola and Town Planning, which fall under the service area of the Baneshwor Distribution Center.
The power cut in the Pepsicola and Town Planning areas will take place from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM to repair old poles and install new ones.
Similarly, electricity will be disrupted in Mid Baneshwor, Old Baneshwor, and Battisputali from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
The authority stated that if the maintenance work is completed earlier than scheduled, electricity supply will be restored immediately. It has also apologized for any inconvenience caused to consumers due to the temporary power outage.
